    :

Greta product – fits in nicely with Mac book pro 13 inch (2017) with 4 thunderbolt 3 / USB-C ports.

  3. lovely item
    5 out of 5

    :

One of the USB-Cs uses the power cable, and the USB terminal points to the previous external equipment and uses it. There is nothing I could complain about.

  4. Much less heat
    5 out of 5

    :

I bought it with MacBook. The number of expansion ports is also amazing. No need to worry about power delivery. It’s recommended.

  5. Great add on
    5 out of 5

    :

As I aquire more and more add on gadgets the more restricted devices seem to get woth ports for them. This has been the perfect solution.

This is a type c device which is pretty much becoming standard in todays market.

The main benefit for me is the portability as it is not only slim and discreet but incrediblt lightweight. A simple and stylish solution that adds not only usb 3.0 ports but handy features such as sd card support (also backwards compatible with usb 2.0)

Looks wise this goes perfect with my macbook and the overall design fits in very well and even the level of quality stands up to apples benchmark. Clearly the build quality is excellent and I have no doubt this is built to last.

Overall this is brilliantly designed and plugs in seamlessly without the need for ugly wires. Transfer soeeds are excellent and due to the lightweight nature and included carry case this really is a go to add on for those neededing the extra functionality. Brilliant

  6. Great connectivity and stylish hub that matches the MacBook Pro
    5 out of 5

    :

This USB-C Hub is really well made and fits perfectly alongside the MacBook. It’s aluminium case finished to a high standard with rounded edges.

This hub fits well into the 2 USB-C ports on the side of the MacBook Pro. You can continue to charge it via the top USB- C port and also connect via the other USB- C port to another device. The device is compact but as stated offers multiple ports (2x USB 3.0, 2x USB Type-C ports, and a micro SDHC and SDHC port.

When you don’t need it anymore then the lovely leather carry case with a magnet flap keeps it safe. The instructions are simple to follow and the device is quick to setup via the Plug and Play.

When plugging in this hub, then I’d advice keeping the MacBook Pro on a desk or equivalent rather than your lap since you don’t want anything pulling on the hub, which could damage the USB type-C connectors and ports they plug into.

Overall, it is a compact but very useful port that enables me to carry it easily around and allow connection of my iPhone and USB devices when required. I’ve been so far impressed and can’t fault this delightful piece of equipment.

I do these reviews to help Amazon purchasers make informed decisions about the products they are buying and I am not incentivised to leave a review so if helps you then please say ‘Yes’ below since it helps me know I’m doing things right.

  7. This is an essential purchase for Macbook Pro owners!
    5 out of 5

    :

So you’ve bought yourself a fancy-pants new MacBook Pro and have just realised that for the price you paid for it, it’s lacking the diverse amount of ports that your old laptop had, meaning that you’re probably going to run out of space to connect all of your stuff?

I was in a similar situation with my newly acquired MacBook Pro, as I usually have all sorts of stuff plugged into it and can regularly be caught waxing lyrical about Apple’s continuous and frustrating trend of not including SD or MicroSD slots on their systems; something that makes zero sense in my opinion for a company that targets the graphics and photography aficionados! Anyway, I’m not here to shake a fist at Apple, I’m here to talk about this fantastic USB Hub/Adapter!

    >>> WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
This funky wee gadget arrives in a very small and attractive sleeve, which contains it’s box. Once you’ve opened then box, you’ll find a beautiful little PU leather pouch, a tiny set of instructions and a support card for QacQoc. The pouch itself is kept closed by a small magnet and it’s a simple case of popping it open and sliding the hub out.

    >>> WHAT DOES IT DO?
This little hub neatly connects to the two USB-C ports on the left side of your MacBook Pro. Both of those USB-C ports are passed-through and you get a full-sized SD card slot, a Micro-SD card slot and two USB 3.0 ports in addition to them. When plugged in, my MacBook Pro detected all of the additional ports properly and it looks absolutely marvellous as it sits flush against the side of it and looks almost like a part of it.

The hub is very lightweight and is made from very high quality materials; it’s made entirely of metal and feels very sturdy indeed.

    >>> SUMMING UP?
This is an absolutely indispensable accessory for any MacBook Pro owner who wants to plug more stuff than Apple’s paltry amount of ports allow as standard. The inclusion of SD card slots makes it a must-have for photography boffins and expands the usability of the MacBook Pro significantly. I would therefore absolutely recommend this little gadget without any hesitation! BUY ONE!

  8. starsTo keep this review short and sweet - I think that this device contains absolutely the ...
    5 out of 5

    :

I was sent this item for review as a free sample.

This device is very helpful to run legacy USB devices on a new MacBook which only contains USB – C type ports.

I am very impressed with it because it combines many types of different connectors into the USB C format without having to buy lots and lots of adapters from apple who charge an absolute fortune.

To keep this review short and sweet – I think that this device contains absolutely the correct number and type of ports. It plugs into 2 USB – C ports so one of them is literally pass through which is perfect and the other is for charging which is also great.

Now then you get 2 x USB 3.0 ports which is plenty and then an SD + Micro SD.

One other reviewer said that they should not have a micro SD but I would argue that actually they should because lots of my devices use Micro SD e.g. my dash camera and I really can’t be bothered to be changing it over into an adapter which doesn’t work all that well all the time.

Overall works perfectly so 5*. Would give 6 if I could

  9. A must accessorie for the MacBook Pro.
    5 out of 5

    :

Fits well both in terms of dimensions and colour with my new 2017 MacBook Pro the build quality is exepcianal this is a must accessorie for your MacBook Pro.
Incredibly compact size (9.6 x 2.9 x 0.83 cm) and weighing about 23g you can easily slide it into your pocket, bag or suitcase this simple fits into the type c port and allows you to do so much.
This USB-C Hub is really well made and fits perfectly alongside the MacBook It has a stunning aluminium case finished to a high standard with rounded edges.
When plugging in this hub, I’d advice keeping the MacBook Pro on a desk or equivalent rather than your lap since you don’t want anything pulling on the hub, which could damage the USB type-C connectors and ports they plug into.
When you don’t need it anymore then the lovely leather carry case with a magnet flap keeps it safe the instructions are simple to follow and the device is quick to setup via the Plug and Play.
The hub features two USB Type-C ports, a SD and Micro SD card slot, two usb 3.0 port. It just plugs into the USB C ports on the side of the MacBook and works straight away. No drivers needed.
I can now use my old peripherals with my MacBook, however, at a cost as Apple designers decided to go all out with USB C, rather than stick to USB 3.0.
Overall, it is a compact but very useful port that enables me to carry it easily around and allow connection of my iPhone and USB devices when required. I’ve been so far impressed and can’t fault this delightful piece of equipment.

  10. I like it very much.
    5 out of 5

    :

This one is compatible with USB 3.0, SD card reader, Micro SD card reader, USB TYPE-C. This product is also more compact than I was thinking about the size and I am glad that it does not get in the way.
I am satisfied that I can do a good shopping.

  11. Really great buy and works perfect with the MacBook Pro if you need a USB-C Hub
    5 out of 5

    :

Notes on the product if you don’t want to watch the video review:
    * So the packaging for this is pretty nice
    * They include this leather looking case with a magnetic flap
    * And like the other QacCoc hub, this one is built pretty sold
    * Big difference of course is that this occupies two of the MacBook Pro’s USB-C ports
    * But it gives you two back in return, missing on this is an HDMI our port so you need a separate adapter for that
Quick Rundown – you have 2 USB-C 3.1 ports, a micro and SD card reader and 2 USB A ports.
    * This is specifically made for the MacBook Pro and the space gray color on the hub matches with the notebook
    * Unlike the other one that took 1 USB-C port, this one feels much more secure on the MacBook Pro
    * Works perfectly with my Samsung T1 SSD drive, MicroSD, SD Card, and charging cable
    * This is a really great buy for $69
    * It’s well made, light and small, looks great with the MacBook Pro, and most importantly it works”

  12. Cool little adapter
    5 out of 5

    :

“I took this hub to my office and my colleague tried the product too.
I have the 13″””” Macbook Pro and my colleague has the 15″””” Macbook Pro.
The hub charges and runs well with these two model of MBP. It supplies 87W to 15″””” Macbook Pro and 61W to the 13″””” Macbook Pro.
The second usb c port proves to work as data only. All of the ports just work perfectly even when all of them are in use.
Only one thing that draws down is the hub can not work with Western Digital’s 4TB external hard drive.
The seller explained to me as high-power consumption which causes compatibility issues.
    Overall, Cool little adapter!”

  13. Expensive, but works
    5 out of 5

    :

I tested every port except the microSD. I was able to use my wireless trackball mouse and wireless keyboard via usb dongles just fine, and even while the power was charging via the same adapter. I have had problems with nearly every one of my off-brand straight-from-China adapters, dongles, cables, and whatever, so I would still warn you to be skeptical, and ask for a replacement or a refund immediately if you see ANY signs of intermittent connectivity, or flash drives or SD cards not showing up.
I can’t say I experienced any of that or have any reason to think it will happen, but experience has taught me that next week could be a different story. I’ve had many devices like this work great when I test them, then when I go to use them a 2nd time, problem-city. Again, didn’t have that happen, just don’t pay a premium and then compromise and deal with annoying losses of connection or whatever.
One of the biggest problems with the cheap generic crap is it can’t handle more than one thing at a time. For instance, a dongle with 3 USB ports; if you dare use 2 of them (my mouse and keyboard) at the same time, it’s like it’s dividing it’s attention between the two, so each drifts away connection-wise every now and then. I noticed none of that when I had the mouse and keyboard in and then added the SD card.
Charging time was the same whether I charged through the adapter or directly via a USB-C port.
The clear advantage to this sidebar thing is that you can leave it in. With dongles hanging out from all sides, you can’t really put the laptop away. They also take up more space and get in the way of other stuff. But, the dongles are like $15-20, this is triple that. So you have to decide if it’s worth the premium.”

  14. Beyond Expectations
    5 out of 5

    :

I have never reviewed a product before but felt I needed to this time. I was holding my breath when ordering this Type C Hub since it was a lot cheaper than other hubs I have seen but it works great! I couldn’t believe how fast the transfer speeds are and it matches my space gray MacBook Pro perfectly. If you have a case on your MacBook Pro do check if it has a big enough cut out for the hub if you absolutely don’t want to change your case. It even comes with a nice leather pouch that is sealed via magnet to keep it safe when not in use.

  15. Wonderful companion for your Mac!
    5 out of 5

    :

“This is awesome, have a USB hub for the Mac. We all know how easy it is to run into convenience issues when it comes to enough ports to use, especially on a Mac. Here’s what I like about it and why I chose to give it 5 stars. First, it’s easily transportable. I know that is obvious, but it deserves to be said that this is a sleek, slimline product that is very easy to carry about. It is also capable of simultaneously transferring data and charging devices. It features a Thunderbolt 3 port, USB-C port ,2 USB 3.0 ports, and a SD/Micro card reader.
I also love that it does not require any software, drivers, or complicated installation process. I am absolutely thrilled to have this quality piece of equipment and it is well worth the price.”
