QacQoc USB C Adapter, USB Type C to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, Supporting 10/100/1000 bit Ethernet,No Driver Required for The MacBook 2015, MacBook Pro 2016, Chromebook Pixel and More USB-C Devices

    The adapter.
This arrives in a box ready to go. No drivers are needed for Mac or Windows 10. It converts RJ45 to USB C. It allows you to connect USB C enabled devices to modems, routers and networks.

    Build.
It is very well made. The USB C plug is very tough and overall the build and usability is superb.

    Why USB C
This is a newest USB standard. It supports higher data rates than the older USB 3.x standard. It is also a smaller plug which fits both ways around, no more fumbling round the back trying to insert the plug.

    In use.
I have a new PC with a USB C socket on the back and I have been trying a range if USB C adapters to see how they work. This one works brilliantly and gives me a very stable network connection. It also works well with my wife’s Chromebook which has USB C.

    Overall.
This is a very useful and well-made adapter and gives a very stable connection. Highly recommended.

    :

This is ideal for getting a network connection when wireless is not available, or you choose to not use wireless.
By including a USB-C to USB A adapter, I have been able to use this with several devices.
All have been running windows 10. It is just plug and go.
not much to say. It works. What more can you ask?

1 x Egolggo USB-C adapter to Ethernet cable

With the fact that I upload videos to certain places and I am always using my MacBook pro touch bar model to edit and upload sometimes these speeds can take a hit due to poor wifi speeds where ever I a happen to be so sometimes where ever possible I like to connect my MacBook through a wired connection so speed things up especially if it is a large video file but I have found using Ethernet adapters through a USB 3.0 connection and then through a dongle so it can connect to my MacBook have slowed things down so I figured cut out all of the dongles and just go straight to USB-C. This arrived in a fairly small box and inside the box, you get the dongle obviously and some instructions and that is all. Straight away I can feel that this is not a cheap version as it feels quite solid and robust. The design is an all-black color with the company logo on it and that is all. The cable feels strong with a nice smooth rubberized feel to it and the same is said for the USB-C connector on the end as it feels nice and solid with the end of the cable feeling quite tough I always check these as when this connected it’s going to be sagging down the side of the laptop which would naturally cause a bend to the end of the type-c connector cable over time but I am confident this will hold up over time.

The construction of the actual ethernet port is far better than I expected with a metal feel to it and it really does feel solid and robust especially for its purpose which is to accompany me on my various trips around the globe in my laptop case so it will need to be strong and resilient. Macbooks naturally have fast wifi connections anyway but I need something more solid especially when I am uploading like 15-20 minute full 4K videos so I tested this product using a 4K video file at 21 minutes long to see if it was able to receive the full speed of the office I was in and this was a 200MBS connection with a 100MBS upload so, in theory, I should be able to upload this video faster and thankfully this little guy was able to pump a ridiculously fast connection into my Macbook resulting the video uploading in half the time. I also plugged this into my Galaxy tab pro s which is also type-c and this was achieving a ridiculous speed also. The one issue for me with this device though as I use a case on my 2016/7 touch bar MacBook pro and I did notice that it was a little snug getting it into the port so be aware and do not force it as you may damage it but simply push it in and then a gentle tab and it will click into place just fine with no issues. I have used this device several times now to save me upload time and I am happy to report I find it well worth the money especially if you move around a lot and need a more stable connection than wifi can offer. Overall good value and good quality.

    :

Use it a lot to connect my Asus Transformerbook hardwired to my home network. 99% of the time it’s on wifi and that’s fine. However when it needs a Windows Update, or when downloading or transferring large files, it’s so nice to have a plugin network connection. Like a lot of newer Windows tablets, mine has an old style large USB port and the new USB C. So it’s an advantage to leave the old USB free for a thumb drive or mouse.

This device works awesome. Just plug it in, and it works. Unlike a lot of inexpensive cables, the jack is of decent quality, not loose or wobbly. My tablet is Windows 10 and it recognized network connection through this cable instantly.

    :

I recently received this Ethernet to USB C adapter and wish to share my thoughts on it.

This product is a must have for many super slim laptops, such as the new MacBooks, and my HP Spectre.

Although some say “less is more” with number of ports, the ability to have a good old wired connection when you need it is a dream come true.

I’ve never had any problems with this, and the status lights are a nice addition too.

    Thanks, Angus

    :

This adaptor is extremely light and compact which makes it so convenient to carry in my bag.
It has many different applications, clearly explained in the instruction leaflet and is so simple to operate.
In my case I wanted to link my computer to my MacBook and this is connected via the usb-c port.
The actual connections on the adaptor feel very secure, unlike others I have used.
Overall, this is a top quality product that works well.

    :

A good solution to add a network port back onto your laptop since most laptops which use USB Type-C ports no longer have a network port, often if you reinstall the operating system on a laptop, the wireless drivers don’t always install since they’re not supported by the operating system installation media which makes it very difficult to reinstall the operating system because you have to find other ways to install the drivers but this network adapter means you can plug a network cable into your laptop when you’re reinstalling the operating system, so the operating system can connect to the internet and download the drivers for you.

I found the network speeds to be very good, it’s also ideal when copying large files over a network since network cables transfer files at much higher speeds than over wireless networks.

Overall i’m very happy with this adapter, the build quality is also very good!

    :

I love this little gadget, it truly is plug and play. My new MacBook does not have a wired Ethernet port, so this is really useful to me, now I can plug it into my USB port and use it even while traveling. It comes beautifully presented in a nice box, with a welcome card and guarantee. It’s small, but looks and feels great quality, and sturdy design, so I am very happy to have purchased it, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

    :

I bought a slick looking 13” DELL XPS laptop, but it’s so thin that it can’t have an Ethernet port! Being an IT manager, it’s very hard to do diagnostics without being able to plug the laptop in.
This device is a super simple (and cheap) solution to this product. I’ve used quite a few USB hubs, but compared to this they’re big and bulky, and when all I want is a Ethernet connection, this is the simple solution for me.
The product has a gigabit connection so not bottlenecking here.
The build quality seems really nice, the short and flexible cable is perfect length and the tiny size of the device is great.
Overall, super happy with this device, the fact that it’s plug and play is even better for when I’m going between laptops and other peoples devices!

I have used several USB adapters for wired LAN connections and I’ve either had to download drivers or put up with intermittent issues like random disconnections.

This adapter is the first I’ve bought that doesn’t need drivers downloading, has stayed connected for over 5 days and just does what it’s supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less.

Great product – well worth the money!
